Our Improving Lives, an organization empowering Black and Brown individuals to stand up and advocate for justice, held a press conference on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at 2 PM at the MLK, Jr. and Corretta Scott King statue to address the ongoing injustices faced by city employees working under "Plantation" conditions. The event informed the taxpayers about Mayor Tuerk's misleading statement.
